Why We Do What We Do

When emergencies happen, first responders are there without hesitation. Yet many departments and organizations face ongoing needs for equipment, training, and resources that aren't always covered by traditional budgets.

Hometown Heroes exists to help bridge that gap and ensure local heroes have the tools they need to protect and serve our communities.

Signature Events

  • Since 2013, our signature fundraising event has united fans, first responders, and community supporters for a night of hockey with a purpose. Together, we've raised more than $685,000 to fund critical equipment, training, and resources for local heroes.

  • This friendly rivalry brings police officers and firefighters together on the ice to raise funds and celebrate the dedication of those who serve our communities. This event started in 2024 and is a night of competition, camaraderie, and giving back.

  • Launching in 2026, Bags & Badges brings first responders together for a friendly cornhole tournament benefiting local heroes. This new annual event celebrates camaraderie, teamwork, and community support while raising funds for critical equipment, training, and resources.
